Dr. Evangeline Handog to serve as ISD Secretary General

Dr. Vangee Handog has a new position with the international Society of Dermatology (ISD). Come May, after the Prague International Conference in Dermatology, she will serve the ISD as Secretary General for a period of 5 years. This is the first time that an Asian ( from the Philippines , at that!) was elected to join the Executive Committee. She is also the second woman to serve as Secretary General. the first was Dr. Maria Duran, and it is noteworthy to observe that Dr. Handog chairs the ISD Maria Duran Committee. Her position in this committee helped in no small measure to get the many international speakers from the ISD during our last PDS convention, with no expense on the part of PDS. Dr. Handog said that she is hesitated for more than six months, but was rather surprised, though. She hopes to make all the Advisory Council members – and all of PDS – proud.
